Week 1: Basis of Rhythm & Iqaat
Learn the basis of beat and rhythmic patterns in Arabic music
*Please being a percussive instrument for practice, if you have one (Riqq, Daff, Tabla, etc or use your hands and table)
Week 2: Timbre
How to express the language and timbre of the instruments through your dance
Week 3: Melody & Phrases
‘Talking’ through the melodic musical phrases
Week 4: Dynamics & Energy
Recognizing tension and resolution to generate different dynamics and energy in dance
